Step Into My Studio

Life as an artist is a magical adventure of wonder and child-like curiosity. I thought I'd bring you along for an adventure and invite you into my studio for a tour. There's been some major updates in this space of mine. Would you like to see?

Welcome To My Studio

It is a small bedroom that I have converted into a studio space.

My husband helped me install false walls so I can splash and throw paint without worry.

On the studio walls I love to wrap the canvas around the room and surround myself to paint. It feels a bit like a caterpillar in a cocoon.

It reminds me of when I was a kid and I’d color on the expansive walls in the hallway in my childhood home.

I was led to study with artist Francine Tint, a painter who wraps the canvas around her small NYC bedroom and paints large scale. Francine, showed me that my vision to make large scale works in a small space was possible!

I really love creating large scale and taking up space, immersing myself in another world of color and energy.

It has always been my dream to take up many rooms to paint and create art and truthfully my whole home is my studio.

Like Frankenthaler I’m also known to paint on the floor.

I paint in the dining room and living area, outside on the porch or under the trees.

The back of my house is all glass with a lake view. This light and the surroundings of nature are reflected in the work.

I live and work in the same area and have discovered that many of my favorite artists have done the same.
